The Rookie Academy is the original ski instructor training company, founded in Wanaka, New Zealand by Dean Hunter and Garett Shore in 1992. Rookies has trained over 3000 people through their advanced ski camps and ski instructor training courses.
Originally set up to train people for the NZSIA instructor certifications, they have now expanded to offer training to skiers and instructors from all nations to train and develop their own personal skiing and teaching skills.
The Rookie Academy has also operated courses in Japan, China, Canada and the USA. Partnering with the Rookie Academy means that we will be delivering over 27 years of superb ski training excellence and knowhow.
The Rookie Academy EU is based in the beautiful Via Lattea Italy, the fourth largest undiscovered ski area in the world. This offers you the ultimate training experience combined with Italian food and wine, beautiful alpine scenery and a great après ski vibe.
We are also proud to partner with Sprongo, offering trainees and skiers alike personalised video analysis on the course. You will receive on-going feedback after the course and training has ended. Each week there will be technical evening sessions on a variety of topics from the ski world.
